INTERNAL ACCOUNTANT

We seek to hire an intelligent, self-motivated, fast and accurate Internal Accountant - with a great attitude to fit within our fun culture and hardworking environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and enter daily/monthly journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. Including but not limited to, daily sales and daily spending.
  • Create and mail invoices, statements, and past-due letters. Monitor and collect accounts receivables, manage accounts receivable/payable. Past due communications via email and letter as well as phone calls to all past due customers - Professional communication skills, written and verbal are required.
  • Reconcile accounts and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Track purchases for use tax and file quarterly Sales and Use tax reports.
  • Help prepare tax return documentation and estimated taxes quickly and accurately.
  • Assist with new hire documentation, including benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance and Simple IRAs. Perform various other benefits duties.
  • Identify tax deduction entitlements. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with co-workers, management, vendors, and customers.
  • Resourceful towards creating high standards in accounting processes and personal continued education.
  • Create and maintain budgets, document reasons for discrepancies of actual vs forecasted.
  • Clear and consistent communication the CEO and management team.
  • Assist management with auditing our Payroll hours and payroll data. Ability to quickly learn our internal processes and simple Order Admin to help alert us of old invoices, late payments and discrepancies in daily sales or customer order data.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with vendor communications and negotiations and resolving or understanding invoicing inquiries.
  • Work closely with operations department personnel to properly account for and analyze significant activities and transactions related to sales, costs, operating expenses, inventories, receivables and accruals.
  • Monitor department spending for accuracy.
  • Provide accounting detail and assistance to internal/external auditors (financial and tax).
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial information.
  • Others tasks and duties as needed by CEO and team of Managers.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to have fun.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
Positive attitude, accountability, respect, trust and initiative, while enhancing our great company culture. Enjoy numbers, data entry and accuracy.
Knowledge of MS Excel and Word, spreadsheet creation and reporting of data.
Strong organizational, analytical, quantitative, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle and maintain sensitive and confidential information.
PC, Quickbooks and phone skills are required.
